NEW LISTING :: Reflection Talisman with Moonstone

One thing I love about blogging, is the ability to share more about my artwork. I plan to share more about each Talisman that I list in the Etsy shop from now on. The Reflection Talisman was handmade with small white Moonstone beads, in addition to some light silvery grey seed beads. I never plan my work, and simply have a goal of filling in negative space within the frame of each piece. This talisman has both eye and wing shapes within it, and I've hidden a Merkahbah (or Star of David) shape within there too. However, I really like to leave it up to the viewer to draw from it additional symbolism and meaning. People often say they see different things in my work, and that is one of my favorite things about creating these symmetrical pieces. 

Here are some tid-bits about the energies and symbolism tied into White Moonstone from Robert Simmons found in The Book of Stones:

It is my hope that the new owner of this talisman will feel empowered to discover hidden truths about themselves and the world around them. This talisman would be specifically beneficial to someone who wishes to connect more deeply to the feminine mysteries and energies, in addition to the cycles of the Moon. 

I'm often asked for suggestions as to how one should use their talisman. There is honestly no right or wrong way to do this, so long as you treat your new handmade object with care. Here are a few suggestions that I have also included within the listing:

• Keep close during ceremony, ritual, while making are or music
• Use as a tool during meditation or while performing/receiving healing work
• Wear during Shamanic Journey or Soul Retrieval
• Place it on your mat during a yoga or meditation class
• Carry it with you to sacred spaces in nature
• Use it when writing intentions, tell it your goals, dreams and visions
• Keep it on your altar or as a part of your sacred space.

Most importantly, always use your intuition when working with your talisman! It is not ME that makes this object "magical", it is you.
